Welcome to the Scottish Furniture Trades Benevolent Association

Our charity helps people in Scotland, connected with the furniture industry, who through illness or misfortune, require a helping hand. 

The Scottish Furniture Trades Benevolent Association (SFTBA) is a charity supporting the Scottish Furniture Trade since 1910. We are currenty helping 21 beneficiaries, from families with disabled children, past employees with multiple sclerosis, to individuals, both young and old, who find our financial support invaluable. We have spent £256,713 in the last 5 years providing much needed help in our trade. Check us out with the Scottish Charity regulator on www.oscr.org.uk charity number SC011170.

Welcoming Our New President – Tom Cunningham
 

The Scottish Furniture Trades Benevolent Association is proud to announce the appointment of Tom Cunningham as President of the Association.
 

Tom has been a dedicated supporter of both the Association and the Scottish furniture industry for many years. Throughout his involvement, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to the values of friendship, support, and fellowship that are at the heart of the SFTBA.
 

Many members will know Tom for his tireless work in supporting and promoting our annual Golf Day, one of the Association's most important and enjoyable events. As a passionate advocate of the day, Tom has been instrumental in its organisation and continued success, helping to strengthen relationships across the industry while raising valuable funds for the Association's charitable activities. His enthusiasm, attention to detail, and willingness to give his time have played a significant role in making the Golf Day the success it is today.
 

As President, Tom brings a wealth of experience, industry knowledge, and a genuine commitment to supporting those connected with the furniture trade throughout Scotland. His leadership will help ensure that the Association continues to thrive while remaining true to its long-standing purpose of providing assistance and support to those in need within our industry.
